What happens in Year 2 at IPS?
Our Year 2 children will learn through themes that focus on different aspect of a theme. We also ensure that our pupils have the skills they need to be successful members of our Nigerian society. We will ensure that they have an understanding of different beliefs and learn tolerance and respect toward others. Our curriculum and high quality Pastoral Programme supports pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and emotional and cultural development.
Year 2 is the end of key stage 1, and we have to ensure that pupils are well prepared to make the move for key stage 2 at the end of the year. Our curriculum is based on the 2014 National Curriculum in England. This consists of the core subjects; English, Mathematics and Science, and the foundation subjects; Art, Computing, Geography, Social Studies, Music, Personal Social and Emotional Development, Physical Education and Christian Religious Studies.
